B. Carrott

“I felt quite uncertain about the practical approach to situations involving racism. What is my role as a white person in a conversation? When is it ‘right’ to say something, and when is it better to remain silent and give space to a person of color?”

Didi de Vries

“I had no idea how much impact whiteness has on our society and on my life. Every module of the training was full of eye-openers and confrontations.”

Pauline Tuyll

“For quite some time, I have been involved with the topic of diversity and inclusion, but I increasingly realized that I found it very difficult to put the theory into practice, both in my personal and professional life.”

Vita Verwaaijen

By taking this training I have gained tools to view the world and myself through a critical white lens.”

Mieke Koster

“I heard about this training and felt a need to participate because I felt uncomfortable in situations where I encountered racism and discrimination, didn’t know how to act, and felt that I didn’t fully understand or recognize racism.”

Vera Nuiver

“My learning goals prior to this training were: to gain knowledge about whiteness and white privilege, and to feel confident discussing topics like racism and discrimination in conversations with other white people.”

Marcel Bolech

“Crystal is the much-needed mirror that you would wish for every white person. Patiently, she watches with me as I stumble from blind spot to blind spot. Honestly and clearly, she points out where it hurts and what I can do myself to alleviate that pain.”

Femke

“The training has helped me become more aware of my white privilege and has provided me with concrete tools to put anti-racism into practice.”

Jeroen de Graaf

“The reason for me to follow Crystal Hassell’s training was that I had too little knowledge of whiteness, privilege, etc., and therefore had no tools to deal with uncomfortable situations and I felt uncertain about my own role.”
